Reading from the First Letter of Saint John
Dear : 22qualquer thing we ask we receive from him , because we keep his commandments and do what is pleasing to him. 23Este is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ and love one another , according to the commandment which he gave us .
24Quem keepeth his commandments dwelleth in God and God in him . He stays with us , we know it by the Spirit he in deu.4 , 1Caríssimos , believe not every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have come into the world . 2This is the criterion to determine whether an inspiration from God : Every spirit that leads to profess that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is from God, 3and every spirit that does not profess faith in Jesus is not from God, is the spirit of Antichrist . Heard say that Antichrist shall come, well, he's already in the world .
4Filhinhos Ye are of God, and ye have overcome the Antichrist. For unto you is something greater than he that is in the world . 5The your opponents are in the world , so act as the world , and the world pays them ears .
6Nós are of God . Whoever knows God listens to us , and whoever is not from God does not listen to us . Hereby know we the spirit of truth and the spirit of error .
